Why both levels
The 3.2u exam assumes 3.1u. The theory is built into it. So a diver going for 3.2u, first time or resit, needs the 3.1u material sharp as well as the 3.2u material new.
The Q&A at each level is the diagnostic. The Flashcards at each level are where you drill what it finds. Most divers get the best return from a Q&A pass before they drill.
- Run the 3.1u Q&A first. Find out what has gone stale.
- Then the 3.2u Q&A. Ultrasonics, MPI, surface preparation.
- Drill the flagged cards at both levels, right up to exam day.
