Why flashcards beat re-reading
Reading your notes again feels like studying. It is not. You recognise the page, so your brain tells you that you know it. In the exam there is no page in front of you.
A flashcard forces you to pull the answer out of your own head first. That is the same thing the exam asks you to do, so it is the thing worth practising.
Rate yourself 1 to 5 after each card. The trainer brings the weak ones back sooner and the strong ones back later, so your time lands where it is needed.

The Speed Drill
Twenty cards, the whole syllabus, one short run.
The Speed Drill pulls twenty cards at random from across all 18 modules, never more than two from any one module. So a single run tells you where you actually stand, instead of how well you know one topic.
Thirty seconds a card. Reveal the answer and the reason behind it, then rate yourself 1 to 5. If the timer runs out the card is marked weak and you move on. That is deliberate. On exam day you do not get to sit and think about it.
At the end you get a score out of twenty and a list of the modules that let you down, so you know exactly what to open next. Your progress is saved, so you can run it again closer to the exam.
It is included in the course. No extra cost.
Built by a diver, for divers
I am Sean Fraenkel. I have 25 years offshore as an air and saturation diver, and I hold CSWIP 3.4u and 3.2u.
I built NDTPrep because I have sat these exams myself, and I know how divers usually prepare. A rotation or two before the exam, out comes the thick notebook, the highlighters and every old exam paper you can get your hands on, often memorising answers without knowing whether they are even correct.
NDTPrep gives you the theory, explains what you actually need to understand, and then lets you test yourself with structured questions and practice. You are learning the subject, not memorising somebody else's old answers.
Questions divers ask me
Do I need the Interactive Theory course as well?
Not necessarily. The Flashcard Trainer stands on its own if you know the material and need the reps. If the theory is rusty, the Complete Study System gives you Theory, Q&A and Flashcards together. It is a loop, not a line, so you can start wherever you are.
I have been diving for years. Is this enough on its own?
For a lot of divers, yes. Experience gives you the practical side, and the exam still asks you to recall definitions, categories and terminology under pressure with no book in front of you. That recall is exactly what the cards train. Most divers get the best return from a Q&A pass first, because it shows which cards actually matter.
How is this different from the Q&A Exam Prep course?
They do different jobs. The Q&A is a diagnostic. Your first run through a module shows you exactly which topics are weak. The Flashcard Trainer is where you drill those gaps and keep them warm right up to exam day. That is why most divers run both.
Can I use it offshore on my phone?
Yes. It runs in your phone browser.
How long do I get access?
12 months from the day you buy.
What if it is not for me?
You have 30 days. If it is not working for you, tell me and I will refund you in full. No questions.
