Watch it. Try it. Check it.
Reading about isometric drawing does not get it onto paper. Your hand has to learn it. So every lesson teaches one skill, and then you draw it yourself.
You start with a pencil, a ruler and a box. You finish with full components, flanges, clamps and nodes, drawn against the clock.
- Watch. A short narrated video shows the method, step by step.
- Try. Draw it on plain A4 with your ruler, protractor and compass.
- Check. Compare with the answer drawing and the common mistakes.

Levels 1 to 3 are free
The first 11 lessons are free. Pencil basics, circles and pipes: your kit, the three directions, a box, circles freehand and by compass, cubes, a straight pipe, an open pipe end and a cone.
Watch them, draw them, check them. The rest of the course works the same way.
Free. Draw your first circles and pipes before you spend anything.
Built by a diver, for divers
I am Sean Fraenkel. I have 25 years offshore as an air and saturation diver, and I hold CSWIP 3.4u and 3.2u.
I built NDTPrep because I have sat these exams myself, and I know how divers usually prepare. A rotation or two before the exam, out comes the thick notebook, the highlighters and every old exam paper you can get your hands on, often memorising answers without knowing whether they are even correct.
NDTPrep gives you the theory, explains what you actually need to understand, and then lets you test yourself with structured questions and practice. You are learning the subject, not memorising somebody else's old answers.
Questions divers ask me
What do I need?
Plain A4 paper, a pencil and eraser, a ruler, a protractor and a compass. No grid paper. Ruler, protractor and compass are allowed in the exam.
I have never drawn anything. Can I do this?
Yes. It starts with pencil basics: your kit, the three directions and a box. One skill per lesson, each with a video of 1 to 3 minutes.
Freehand or compass for circles?
Both are taught, so you can choose. Draw the diamond first either way, then practise both against the clock.
Is this the whole 3.4u exam?
No. This course is the isometric drawing section, which is one hour. The written papers, Parts B and C, are in the 3.4u Long Questions Exam Prep. The 3.4u Complete Study System has both, plus the 3.1u and 3.2u Theory and drill courses.
Can I watch on my phone?
Yes. The videos play in your phone browser. The drawing is done on paper.
How long do I get access?
12 months from the day you buy.
What if it is not for me?
You have 30 days. If it is not working for you, tell me and I will refund you in full. No questions.
